Outstanding young officials honoured for contributions to national development

Politburo member cum Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh hosted a reception for outstanding young civil servants and public employees at Government Headquarters in Hanoi on November 3.

The 56 young officials have been honoured with the 7th Typical Young Officials and Public Employees 2020 Awards, which were presented to them by Binh at the meeting.


Launched by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in last April, from 186 nominations of 46 units, the organisers selected the 56 best delegates for this year's award.

They are young civil servants in administrative agencies, as well as officers and soldiers in military and police units, all of whom have made outstanding achievements in administrative reform and developed creative initiatives in labour, production and during their duties.

Le Khanh Binh, an editor - translator from the English Department of the Nhan Dan Online Newspaper cum the secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the newspaper, is among the honoured individuals.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy PM Truong Hoa Binh affirmed that the Party and State always pay attention to building a strong, qualified and capable staff to serve the nation’s revolution.

Praising the award winners this year, Binh also urged them to improve their capacity to serve the people more effectively.

Earlier, the delegation paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum and made donations to support flood victims in the central region.
