Phu Quoc to have first wild animal conservation park
The Vinpearl Safari Park on Phu Quoc Island has just received 200 endangered animals of different species from various bio-geographic regions in the world, the Saigon Giai Phong (Liberated Saigon) newspaper reported.
The rare animals include white antelopes (addax), black-and-white ruffed
lemurs (Varecia variegata), ring-tailed lemurs (Lemur catta) and
giraffes.
It consists of two main parts: the Open Zoo and the Safari Park, accommodating more than 2,000 domestic and foreign animals of 140 species, and some 400 species of flora.
So far, three flights have been deployed to transfer rare animals from the US, Europe and South Africa to the park.
There will be five more flights to be carried out until the inauguration of the facility.
