RE & EE Vietnam 2018 is positioned as a one-stop technology and business marketplace to facilitate the development of energy technologies for industries and commerce, focusing on renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies for Vietnam.

The event will include a conference with the theme “Solutions to Encourage and Develop Renewable Energy in Vietnam”, on September 12.

The Toshiba Energy Systems & Solutions Corporation (Toshiba ESS) will have an exhibit at RE & EE Vietnam on energy technologies that contribute to renewable energy and high efficiency. Approximately 5,000 people will visit from all over the world.

Demand for renewable energy is growing in Vietnam, and the total power generation rate of renewable energy is expected to increase from 5.4 per cent in 2015 to 21 per cent in 2030. Solar power generation equipment is expected to provide 12 GW by 2030.

“We regard Southeast Asia, including Vietnam, as a priority area for renewable energy business such as industrial photovoltaic power generation,” said Mr. Noriaki Kozono, General Manager of the Energy Aggregation Division at Toshiba ESS. “As a leader in renewable power systems, we will use this exhibition to showcase our work and share the solutions we have to offer.”

Toshiba ESS will showcase a wide range of products and services related to renewable energy at the exhibition, including industrial solar photovoltaic modules for mega solar and industrial facilities, substation equipment, and construction services for photovoltaic power generation systems and wind power generation systems.

In substation equipment, it will introduce equipment made by its Vietnam subsidiary, Toshiba Transmission & Distribution Systems (Vietnam) Ltd., which is the only company manufacturing protection relays in Vietnam. It will also introduce a “Virtual Power Plant”, which contributes to the stabilization of the grid and demand balance by effectively integrating multiple power sources in the region, such as photovoltaic power. It will also introduce power producing businesses featuring renewable energy sources such as photovoltaic, wind, hydro, geothermal and biomass.

RE & EE Vietnam is the most comprehensive energy trade event in Vietnam and is part of the successful energy series organized by United Business Media (UBM), which includes Renewable Energy Asia (Thailand), Renewable Energy India, Myanmar’s Leading Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Exhibition, and the Philippine’s Leading Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency.
