Northern and central region see new heatwave
A heatwave will affect the northern region and central region on June 15.
The highest temperatures will be around 35-37 degrees. Mountainous areas in the north-central coast and central region will have the highest temperatures of 35-38 degrees.
The heatwave will be more severe on June 16 with temperatures in several locations reaching over 38 degrees. The affected regions will experience 12-17 hours of 35 degrees and over. The heatwave will last until June 21.
Hanoi will have a temperature of 35-36 degrees on June 15 and 36-39 degrees from June 16 to 21.
The average temperature in Vietnam from now until early July will be 0.5 to 1 degree higher than in previous years. The average temperature in the central and south-central provinces will be 1-1.5 degrees higher than in previous years.
