The markets will be launched across local districts and towns between January 20 and February 2. The Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade has been assigned to work with district authorities to open the flower markets.

The markets will sell various kinds of flowers, ornamental plants, fruit trees and handicraft products.
The city will also organise farm produce fairs before Tet.
Flower markets in Hanoi must comply with traffic safety and environmental sanitation guidance. According to the Hanoi People’s Committee, parking areas must be arranged at least 100 metres away from the flower markets to help ensure traffic order.
Visiting Hanoi flower markets to buy bonsais, house adornment stuff or flowers for Tet is popular with many Hanoians. People visit the market not only to buy flowers but also to enjoy the Tet atmosphere.
The Hanoi Department of Transport has collaborated with traffic police to establish 106 checkpoints in different areas to regulate and address the congestion situation as Tet is nearing.
