Hanoi reveals new bamboo garden
Thousands of bamboo trees have been planted in a corner of Truc Bach Lake in Hanoi, creating a stunning green space for the city.
The bamboo trees were planted on Tran Vu Street last November and the they have reached four to five metres in height.
Grass has been planted under the trees, and stone benches have also been placed for visitors.
Lights have also been installed to create a more captivating space in the evening. All the bamboo has thrived.
Workers have secured them with stakes and sturdy steel wire to ensure the bamboo trees remain upright.
Many locals and tourists have shown interest in the bamboo garden.
