Hanoi street bustling with Tet atmosphere

Hang Ma Street in the Hanoi Old Quarter area has become busy as the Tet Lunar New Year nears.


Many Tet decorative items are being sold on the 300-metre-long street. People have started buying items for Tet decorations.


A trader on the street said that giant dragon mascots welcoming the Lunar New Year of 2024 have drawn the attention of customers.


The mascot pair is around 10 metres high and designed in a very sophisticated way.


Hoang Dieu Linh from Ha Dong District said that she often comes to Hang Ma Street to buy decorative items for Tet.

 


Pairs of smaller dragon mascots which are around five metres high are sold on the street. A trader said that it had taken six artisans ten days to complete such a pair.


Visitors are interested in taking photos with the dragon mascots.


A foreign family in Vietnamese traditional dress or Ao Dai visit Hang Ma Street.
