Crops in Long An severely damaged by drought

Thousands of hectares of rice and crops in the southern province of Long An have been seriously damaged by drought and saline intrusion.

 

  

According to Tan Tru District’s Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, around 4,600 hectares of rice face the risk of being ruined due to drought.

Crops, including watermelons, are dying because of drought 



The shortage of water badly affected the development of nearly 500 hectares of dragon fruit trees in the district. 



Local residents need fresh water for daily use
